Discovering Smart-UPS using a Network Management Card (NMC)

If the Smart-UPS connects to your network using a Network Management Card (NMC), you can discover it in the EcoStruxure IT Gateway using SNMPv1 or SNMPv3.

Do not use the ethernet port on the UPS to connect to EcoStruxure IT if the UPS uses an NMC.

Discovering Smart-UPS via Modbus

Smart-UPS models starting with SMT, SMTL750, and SMTL1000 support Modbus TCP using the ethernet port on the UPS with firmware version 4.2 and greater.

NOTE: Modbus TCP discoveries are supported on EcoStruxure IT Gateway version 1.9.0 and newer.
