Network cable management in the IT Advisor web client

In the Network context of the floor view, use the network connection wizard to create, edit, and delete network connections between assets in racks, in rooms, and between patch panels.

To launch the network connection wizard:

1. Select a location and then select the Network context.
2. Click Network to display the information pane.
3. Select an asset with network ports.
4. Select Network Connect to launch the network connection wizard.

Create an in-rack connection

In the network cnnection wizard:

1. Select the location of the destination asset.  
2. Click Next if you select Current Rack. Otherwise select the destination rack or asset and then click Next. 
3. Specify the cable type information. 
4. Select the destination asset. 
5. Select the source and destination ports and click Confirm to save the network connection. 
6. Click Create more or Finish to exit the wizard.
