Tiers are defined as a layer or area of space designated at a specific height from the ceiling or floor of a room. For example, a tier can be defined as a 10 inch tall space that starts 18 inches below the ceiling.
You define tiers from room or location properties. When defined for a location, all rooms in that location inherit those tiers.
Tiers can contain one or more busbars or cable trays, or both.
To create an infrastructure tier:
Log in to the IT Advisor web client.
In the location hierarchy, select a location or a room. Click the menu icon (three dots). ...
Click Edit properties.
To add or change a tier, click Infrastructure Tiers > Manage Infrastructure Tiers.
Click Create Infrastructure Tier.
Specify the properties for the tier:
The label for the tier
The height (distance) from the ceiling or the floor
Whether the height reference is the ceiling or the floor
The description
The tier color. This sets the color of the busbar or cable tray.
