PM8000 V2 firmware available!!

Hello everyone,

It’s our pleasure to announce that we have officially released the PM8000 V2 firmware!  As a reminder, this firmware update is bringing the following main features:

• Waveform on webpages
• IPV6 and DHCP support
• 10MB logging limit removal
• Cyber security enhancements

The firmware files and "what's new" document is available in the "Firmware Releases" community space.

The PM8000 guidebook is being updated with the new tehnical and marketing documentation to support this release. Please allow us until early next week to finish this task.

Hi Sven,

The actual firmware version is 1.4.1, The V2 naming came out as a second major release of meter functionalities. All the new features are described on Daniel's posting and the What's new document on the page you just highlighted.

Please let us know if you have any issue downloading or using the new firmware release.

Hi Sven - the 519 framework would be used if you want to utilize the "Harmonics Compliance" report in PME.  It does IEEE519 at the expense of EN50160, however, so if you need the latter, use the PQ framework (and the default one).

Meter data is not persisted upon a firmware upgrade, hence the recommendation to ensure your logs are caught up prior to the upgrade.

as we could find out last friday. the Problem was that the Pm8000 was not configured properly.

As is remotely change only two settings we got the PM8000 working.

It was your mistake.

The DCFs are embedded in the firmware zip file in the links in Daniel Brandao's post above.

Most DCFs should be available in the ION Templates sub-folder and if there are additional ones you need uploaded, let me know.

I found out from my colleague here that the PM8000 V2.1.0 is now released and can be found here:

Would be good if we have one location for all firmwares and maybe announce it here in the commuinity if there is a new one. 

Anyway, we see in "What's New?" that there is a lot of enhancements in this firmware. Good job team!

Thanks for the feedback Arneil.  We are currently looking at improving this aspect and your feedback is valuable as a consumer of this information.  Our current plan is that we would package FW releases with the associated documentation and post on SE.com.  We would then announce via the Exchange Community to point to the latest release.  If you have recommendations on this please let us know.
