*We have initiated a case already.
I'm posting this here to see if anyone has seen this issue with 4.4.1 or any previous PM5563 firmware version.
Some meters *more than one* were upgraded from 4.2.1 to 4.4.1
The meters were able to communicate with PSO. Within a few hours to a few days the meter would stop talking to PSO. The IP settings were found to be as follows IP:255.255.255.255 SUBNET: 255.255.255.255 GATEWAY: 255.255.255.255
It was found that if the meter was power cycled, the IP settings reset back to the previously configured IP and the meter would talk. No changes were made to the meter. Then it was found that a few days later these meters (two of them) once again lost their communication setting. Thus, power cycling isn't a permanent solution. All 4 meters we upgraded lost IP at one point or another within the last 10 days.
The IP was NOT modified around the time frame that the meter was upgraded.

Hi @DCarlson,
Was this ever observed when the meters were running version 4.2.1? Were there any other changes in the network recently, or was there an auxiliary power failure close to the occurrence of the issues?
Do you see anything in the meter's maintenance log from the web pages?
I would suggest contacting your local country support, as this might require a deeper investigation.
@Ramasamy_N, do you have any input on this?
Best Regards,
JD

My understanding is that these meters were not experiencing this before the upgrade.
I do not believe there was any network changes.
However we are investigating if there was "fluctuations" in the power. We are investigating.

Hi @Jesus_Diaz
This behavior needs to be investigated.
Can you check if the meter IP address restored when it access directly 1 to 1 with a laptop before the power cycle?

So even though the server can see the meter over the network, your suggesting we disconnect it and connect it locally to a meter to see if it works. How does a direct connection to the laptop differ from a serve over the network. In so far as telling us that the meter has "stored" the IP.

We have a site in which when using 4.4.1 a power fluctuation on the control power does seem to lead to a high likely hood that the meter "forgets" its stored IP. Resets to 255.255.255.255. A second site has issues only on one set of equipment, but we have not been able to find any correlation to other events which might be triggering the change in IP.
