A customer is using the Mac Addresses to reserve IP addresses for some PM5340 meters on their system. The DHCP server has been configured to reserve IP addresses base on the Meter Mac Address. When the DHCP server request the Mac address from the meter the response from the meter does not match the Mac Address on the meter.
As an example meter responds with a Mac address of 504d353334305f30303336383439. Based on the meter's display and label the meter's Mac Address is 00:80:67:8E:07:0C. The meter's Serial Number is 540120036849. The OS is 2.15, The RS is 2.0.0 and the Language is 4.2.0.
Why does the meter respond with a strange Mac Address when it is requested by the DHCP server? Is there a setting that is required on the meter for it to respond with a Mac address that matches the meter display and label?

Hello @sesa37232_bridg
The device identifier response from PM5340 for DHCP server 504d353334305f30303336383439 is device name like PM5340_followed by the 7 digit serial number 0036849 in ASCII format.
PM5340 follows the device name for the DHCP server identification instead of MAC ID.
