ION meter Modbus communication with data buffer?

Hi All

I am trying to configure the ION meter for Modbus communication. From the below video, I can see how to configure an addition register for specific data.

However, I am wondering how to configure a data buffer for Modbus polling? Like how PME interacts with meters having internal memory, even if the communication between the server and meters is down for a certain time, the data will be backfilled to the PME once the communication is back. How do we achieve this function in ION meter Modbus communication? Thank

Hello @Stuart_Cheng ,

Sounds like you are talking about the onboard logs being read by Modbus. Sadly this is not possible on ION9000 or PM8000 meters. ION protocol is required to get logs.
