Hello,
We used PM5330 series power meters at our project. There is a wrong values at some points. Displacement PF's are good but True PF's are low.
What is the difference between Displacement PF and True PF?
How calculate PM5330 Real Power?
If PM5330 uses the True PF for calculate Real Power, can we change the calculation method of Real Power with Displacement PF?
Thanks.

Hello @Caglar_Abatay
What is the difference between Displacement PF and True PF?
True power factor includes harmonic content.
Displacement power factor only considers the fundamental frequency.
Questions regarding the PM5330 I will need to leave to @Ramasamy_N

Hello @Ramasamy_N , Can I change the calculation method of PM5330's Real Power as Displacement Power Factor via ION Setup etc?
Best Regards.

Hello @Caglar_Abatay
The PM5330 calculates the real power based on True PF value. There is no option to change the power calculation based on Displacement PF.
If the actual waveforms are pure, the True and Displacement PF will be equal. When the load has harmonics, the true PF will be less than the Displacement PF.

Hello @Ramasamy_N ,
Load has harmonics and the true PF will be less than the Displacement PF.
It would be great if there was a replacement option of calculation.
Best Regards.

It sounds like the feature/quantity you are asking for is called "fundamental active power" and probably also "fundamental active energy".
I believe that gapless measurement (aka. zero blind) of fundamental or any spectral component of a signal is generally thought to be a more advanced feature. All fundamental power quantities (active, reactive, and apparent) are gapless and available by default on the PM8000 series meters.

@Caglar_Abatay : We will investigate about the possibility of providing option for calculating power using distortion PF.
