Device name in ION Setup can't be started with Numbers?
Hi, All
When I add a modbus serial device to a site, the device name cannot start with numbers, is that right? There is a BCPM on site which I want to configure, the label of BCPM is A5-PDU-37B, I just want to quickly configure it, so I put 37B as the device name, then I found the drop down box of device type doesn't work and the OK buttons is greyed out.

James,
It has to begin with a letter. BTW, u can only use letter, space. It will convert underline "_" to space automatically without a warning. It does not take "-", so u cannot do "pdu-5A".
It has been like this for a long time, at least back to V2.2, but it does not really bother me these years, as I just use it during commission phase, so I just went with it. -:)
