Phasor of the ion7330 meter

    HI,
I have an ion meter and I think the connection may be incorrect. I need help visualizing the phasor or identifying if the connection sequence is correct. And I need help visualizing the current and voltage angle (phasor) of the ION 7330 meter.

Hi @darkenwald

ION7300 series ore very old and obsolete and I don't think if the ION7330 natively supports phasor viewer functionality like the PM8000 or ION9000 series do in ION Setup. Maybe the meter’s display shows phasor diagrams?

I would suggest using the Phasor diagram tool. This tool allows you to graph the phasor diagram based on the parameters measured by the meter such as power factor per phase, real power per phase and volts mode.

Best Regards,

-Mehran

Hello @darkenwald,

ION Setup may be able to read modules that can give the phase angles for voltage and current. If ION Setup is not possible, you could try reading the from front panel, it is possible to read info from specific modules. Harmonics modules for V1,V2,V3,I1,I2,I3 might be able to give you phase angles in numeric form.

Regards,

Charles

I understand that it's possible to check the numerical values of voltage and current. However, I need to validate that the phase sequence is correct. Is there a valid option or screen to view the current and voltage phasors?

My ION SETUP for this 7330 meter model doesn't have a phasor. The link you sent me is down for maintenance. If you have the files from the image link below, could you please send them?

Hi @darkenwald

That's right, unfortunately, the files are no longer accessible. There are some online phase diagram creators you can try; however, as mentioned above, since the device is quite old and has limited features, if you have the magnitude and phase angle of each voltage and current (or power factor, etc.,), you can manually validate the phase sequence.

Best Regards,

-Mehran
