I am using a PM5560 to get power information into my Rockwell Compactlogix PLC via ethernet IP. I have downloaded the EDS file and added to the ethernet I/O tree in the PLC program. The lowest RPI setting it will accept is 1000ms and the highest is 9999.9 ms. The unit communicates and the registers get the correct data. Every 25 seconds or so (with a 5000ms RPI), it gives a Connection time out error (16#0203) and the I/O OK light goes off. If I change the RPI the frequency of the loss changes, but it is very much repeatable. Seems like every 5 or so reads, it rejects the connection and reconnects. Any ideas on how to fix this.

Hello @CMUR,
Please confirm whether your meter is running the latest firmware available on se.com, as the latest version includes fixes related to Ethernet/IP.
Additionally, could you please share screenshots of the PLC configuration and a network diagram? I noticed that this case has also been raised with the North America Support Team. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I see any progress on that case.
Regards,
JD

Hello @CMUR Chris,
Can you try changing Connection over Ethernet/IP from multicast to point to point or unicast setting?
Thanks,

I replaced the L32E with a newer L30ER processor and the connection errors went away. Works fine with no errors even at a 1 second RPI rate. Not sure why there would be a difference between the implicit messaging on these two processors. I have reached out to Rockwell to see what they have to say. Will mark this post as solved as I believe it is not a PM5560 issue, but a Rockwell issue. Thanks.
