ION7400 IEC 61850 edition 1

Hello everyone,

Where can I find the ICD file for ION7400 for IEC 61850 edition 1?

According to the "IEC 61850 and ION Technology" document, ION 7400 only supports IEC 61850. Looking into the ION7400 v002.002.001.zip firmware file, only edition 1 ICD files can be found.

Our local partner is asking whether ION7400 supports IEC 61850 edition 1, and whether we can provide the edition 1 ICD files.

Hello Ken,

There are no edition 1 versions of the ICD files. That being said, I do know of someone who looked at the differences between PM8000 Edition 1 vs Edition 2 and backwards engineered this on the ION7400. Officially the ION7400 has not been tested to Edition 1.
