Hi,
today, after upgrading customer's PM8000 to v3.0.0 firmware I encountered a problem with ION Setup. After manual waveform was triggered, when trying to view what was recorded, the program shuts down unexpectedly.
I checked it with my PM8000 (fw v2.2.1) in the office and everything worked fine. After upgrading my meter to fw v3.0.0 the sittuation with shutdown appears exactly the same way.
Both meters were connected to the same computer with ION Setup v3.2.
Did anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on possible causes and solutions for that?
Best regards

Hello @Szymon_Hochół ,
I can't speak for the ION Setup situation. I would recommend contacting technical support (se.com->support->contact support) for help with this.
Regarding the duplicate waveforms, this is something I can speak to. First, the framework inside the meter will trigger a waveform under 2 conditions, a PQ event start, and PQ event end. In many cases these 2 pulses could be within the timeframe of a single waveform capture. The waveform recorder module can store 1 pulse while the module is already recording a waveform. When this happens, the module will start a second waveform recording once the first recording is finished. This is what I believe is happening with your system. The start and end pulse occur during the first waveform recording.
If this does not make sense please let me know.
Regards,
Charles

Hello @Szymon_Hochół ,
One critical piece of information missing is what version of ION Setup are you using?
Are there any events in the Windows Event log around the time ION Setup stops?

Charles

Hi @Charles_Murison, thanks for prompt response 🙂
ION Setup I am using is v3.2.20218.01
I replicated the situation today and yes, the Event Log records an error when ION Setup shuts down. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Windows Event Log, and all these information tell me nothing.
(Please let me know if you need to have anything translated)
Coincidentally, my meter recorded two sags yesterday and obviously saved waveforms. What's interesting is that there are two sets of waveforms recorded for each disturbance:
And now the tricky part: waveforms in blue box work just fine. ION Setup shuts down when trying to plot the rest. It makes no difference whether I try to plot just one or all the inputs (V,I).
Best regards
