Dear,
A client asks these two questions about ION Setup in conjunction with a PM8240.
1. Is it possible to use the graph interactive OFFLINE.
2. What is the easiest way to export data? (Now I copy paste to Excel.)
Can someone help me with both questions?
Thanks in advance!
Philippe

Hi Philippe,
The ION Setup viewing engine only works with actual device data (there is no database access/storage of data) which is uploaded in real-time. It is a free (no cost) viewing tool which allows customers to access meter data but they must do so when connected to a device. To view information after the fact, you will need to transfer the data into another application (like Excel) and you will need to do any type of saving of information manually. PME is an obvious better choice to be able to access historical information in those instances.
There are options to save logged meter data into CSV files but require modification of existing table files to allow that option (I'd like to stress that ION Setup is NOT meant to be used as a primary data acquisition application like PME).
