Hello,
Is there a limit to the maximum number of R units that can be connected to the HDPM6000 head unit? I think the power capacity of the head unit will be the key point.
I understand that there are the following restrictions when connecting an R unit.
・The number of measurement circuits will be 192 or less.
・Addresses will be assigned from 1.2.3 to 0.
For example, can I connect four 48-circuit units?

Miyai

Hi @Miyai
As mentioned in HDPM6000 installation guide, power supply module provides 24 VDC power at which the HDPM6000 head unit uses approximately 25(min) to 250(max) mA of power, depending on the connected module (HDPM6000R, HDPM6000S, HDPM6000B or HMI local display).
The HDPM6000R retrofit modules are designed for retrofit branch circuit monitoring applications and are available in several configurations (24-, 42-, and 84-circuit modules) with maximum 192 channels and with allowable different combinations as explained in the table below:
The Address dial configures the ANSI or IEC channel number range used by the retrofit module. For more info, please check HDPM6000R Installation guide.

Since there is no information about the individual power consumption of the R unit, we believe it is not possible to calculate the maximum number that can be connected.
Can up to 10 HDPM6000 R units be connected?
Or am I limited to the configurations outlined in the manual?
I would like to know the restrictions on combinations as I would like to install the minimum number of head units for multiple panels.

Miyai

Hello @Miyai .
The HDPM6000 head units are testes and verified with the configurations as outlined in the manual.

Hi @Miyai
As Charles mentioned, the standard configurations regarding how many Retrofit modules can be connected and how they can be combined (with a maximum of 192 channels) needs to be followed as specified in the manual and table above.

Hi @Mehran_Mehrnia , @Charles_Murison
Please let me know.
Am I correct in understanding that a combination of 4x42 modules + 1x24 module is acceptable when constructing a 192 circuit?

Miyai

Hi @Miyai
Yes, it is possible to combine (4 x 42) + (1 x 24) to get to the max 192-circuit. In this case, the 42-circuit modules would get addresses 1 through 4.

-Mehran
