So I am having issues getting the command semaphore through modbus using a red lion gateway with controllogix PLC.
I plan to get/read the command semaphore from Modbus register 405680 and then write that number to Modbus register 405001 and write 2020 to Modbus register 405000. So far I am unable to get that command semaphore from the red lion gateway.
I'm trying to reset all energies automatically every month. Is there another suggestion on how I can accomplish that?

Hi @Jemeu,
The "reset all energy" command can be used in the unprotected command interface (without semaphore; you can just use a value of 0).
Please find an example using Modbus Tester and how it looks in Wireshark:
Thank you,
JD

Thank you very much for your help. I'm using an Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLC with a Red Lion Gateway to send Modbus commands.
This worked with the Generic Modbus tester, however I was having trouble resetting the energy monitor with the PLC.
For some reason, it only works if I write 2020 in 405250 and 1 in 405251. Not a big problem though it works as it should now.
