Q: Is a built in battery back up for the in-built real time clock a standard feature of Schneider Power meters these days?
I seem to recall that there is a battery back up for an iEM meter previously encountered.
This question is specifically with reference to:
1. PM5350
2. PM5560
If it can be answered more generally then that would also be good.
Thank you.

Hi @swil
Yes, PM5560 has the inbuilt battery for the real time clock back up. The battery can back up the RTC more than 3 years when the meter stored without control power.
PM5350 has the capacitor to backup the RTC only for 30 seconds, it does not have the inbuilt battery. The updated reference PM5350P has the inbuilt battery for RTC backup.
FYI, iEM3000 series has the super capacitor for the RTC backup, not the battery.

Maybe the PM5350P isn't available in Australia. The only part number available is METSEPM5350
Does the PM8000 also have the battery back up for the RTC?
Thank you very much.

The PM8000, ION7400, and ION9000 also have provision for a replaceable battery in addition to the built-in 7yrs+ battery.
The part number for the battery replacement kit is METSEPMBATK.
