When linking the input to an ION module in Advanced Mode the user needs to search through the modules for the specific input they are looking for. If a module has been previously open the Register is stored in cache and is available with the "search" button. However, if a module has not been previously opened, the search button does not work.
Is it possible to do a read-all of modules so the search button works??

The search button if provided a "label" will only scan any uploaded information for a match (and there could be multiple labels which could match the search so the search will only return the first match it finds always).
A better solution is to know the actual ION output handle you want to find and enter that instead (ex. 0x5902 for V1 HD 3 output of the V1 Harmonics module) which will send the request to the actual meter instead.
Pressing the Search sends a request to the ION meter which returns the location if available:
At present there is no easy way to force ION Setup to upload every single output register for every single module (and even then we would have to address how to handle the case when there are multiple registers having the exact same label such as "kW tot").

This will I think give you exactly what you want:

There is a box folder with all the stuff, read it all, you may have to register some controls.
