Dear,
I have problems configuring alarms on a PM5560 with ION Setup.
I can configure the alarms on the device or with Vista (PME), so the PM5560 does work.
This is the version of ION Setup:
I believe it is the latest version

I believe it is the latest version.
I could once configure an alarm through ION Setup. But now it is not possible anymore because ION Setup gives the values multiplied by 1000 (e.g. 20A is read as 20000A).
I can now only change the Pickup Limit and Enable through ION Setup.
Can this be fixed?
Thanks!
BR,
Philippe

Hi Philippe,
I used ION Setup to program a PM5563 Over Current alarm and had no problems. I'm very surprised that you were able to use PME to program the alarms since its a very complex operation on the device and PME technically doesn't know how to program Modbus-based devices (especially ones which are not read/write of direct registers). Programming of the PM556x alarms via the front panel restricts the use of non-integer values for the limits as you can only enter integer values from the front panel display (ex. Programming a limit of 12.345 via ION Setup will only display 12 on the front panel screen when viewed, and attempting to program that alarm for any reason will then reset the limit to 12.000).
Pay attention to the status bar when attempting to program the values as it might be indicating that both limits are out of range (limits are restricted based on the PT/CT ratios), so you may need to temporarily alter the ratios, modify the limits to a smaller values and then alter the PTs/CTs back to normal. If this is the case, let me know and I'll look into how we could maybe resolve this issue going forward (it is difficult in that if there are multiple settings, allow you to move away from that screen causes other issues).

Hi Robert,
Thank you for testing it.
I'll look into it and let you know how it goes.
I can confirm that programming the PM5560 alarms works well with PME (VISTA).
But on the other end it is not possible to program a "logic" alarm (and, or,..).

Phillipe,
There is a newer frimware for the PM5560 meter that may also help. Latest Firmware is 2.4.3 https://www.schneider-electric.co.uk/en/download/search/Firmware%20PM5560_PM5563%20Version%202.4.3/
