Set up the Smart-UPS and connect it to your network using its ethernet port.
After you power on the Smart-UPS and connect the ethernet cable to your network, wait for a few minutes to allow the Smart-UPS to connect to the EcoStruxure IT cloud. See the user manual for your UPS
Go to https://app.ecostruxureit.com/manage and log in to your existing account. Note: If you are new to EcoStruxure IT, click Sign up to create an EcoStruxure IT account. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the EcoStruxure IT mobile app. Choose SMS as the authentication method to get a code on your phone to proceed. Do not download the EcoStruxure IT Gateway.
Go to Devices > Actions > Register using SmartConnect.

Enter the ID and Product key from the label of the Smart-UPS. Tip: You can use the EcoStruxure IT mobile app to scan the QR code on the UPS label.
Click Register.

It can take up to five minutes for sensor values to appear.
Device data from Smart-UPSs connected via ethernet port is pushed to EcoStruxure IT every 5 minutes. Alarms are pushed as soon as they occur.
The EcoStruxure IT Expert Device Security assessment and the firmware update and device configuration features require a Network Management Card. These features are not available for Smart-UPS connected via ethernet port.
