Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Enablement

What's Changing?

We are adding a new layer of protection to your EcoStruxure IT SmartConnect account. Starting 29th September 2025, Muti-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required for all users. MFA adds an extra step to your login process, making it significantly harder for unauthorized users to access your account.

Avoid Shared Accounts

To enhance the security of your account and ensure seamless access, we strongly recommend avoiding the use of shared or generic email addresses such as IT_Support@domain.com when registering or logging into SmartConnect. Use only dedicated, individual accounts like firstname.lastname@domain.com. This approach improves accountability and integrates more effectively with our Multi-Factor Authentication tools, significantly reducing the risk of losing access to your account.

• If you need to share access to a device with a colleague, please use our new device sharing feature.
• If you want to change the email address of an already registered account, please follow the instructions here.

How to Set Up MFA

If you want to set up MFA now, please follow the instructions below:

1. Log in to your SmartConnect account.
2. Go to My Account > View Profile
3. Select Two-Factor Authentication
4. Follow the prompts to enable MFA using your preferred method (e.g. authenticator app, SMS).
