I am programming for a SCADAPack 474 that will be installed with a 6606 module.
I have added the module in RemoteConnect and for the Configurable Digital Input/Outputs will not let me change them from digital inputs to digital outputs.
The SCADA x70 help implies but does not outright say that you go in RemoteConnect to Configuration, Physical I/O, Local, select the module and then select the DIO point and change the type. The Type says Digital Input and is greyed out, not selectable.
I can change the Analog Inputs Type just fine from here.
This is all offline I do not currently have the SCADAPack to connect to.

The channel direction is set when adding the object association:
To change the direction of an existing association, clear the association and then add the association with a different direction.

Andrew is correct in his response, but I'd just like to add some clarifications for others who might read this thread. The 6606 module was new to me, and I was caught off-guard when trying to replicate Andrew's solution. Two issues arose for me, both worth mentioning:
When you add the 6606 module to the Local Physical I/O you'll be asked if you want to "Manually connect existing objects..." or "Automatically create and connect new objects..." Select "Automatically create..." as usual. The DIO objects will be created with a Type of Digital Input. You can then select only the DIO channels you want to change to Outputs and click Clear Associations. You can then re-create them to change them to DO type.
As another, somewhat less vital issue, remember that the 6606 module has 16 dedicated DI and 8 dedicated DO points, plus the eight configurable DIO. When wanting to edit DIO1 I accidentally tried editing DI1. Oops! The DIO are separate, further down the list.
And as always, don't forget to set the new module's address to 1 or higher, on both the module itself and in RemoteConnect.

Thanks Andrew. I used the automatically associate when adding the module and that does not ask you to set which they are going to be. It just assumes Input.
