I am programming for a SCADAPack 474 that will be installed with a 6606 module.
I have added the module in RemoteConnect and for the Configurable Digital Input/Outputs will not let me change them from digital inputs to digital outputs.
The SCADA x70 help implies but does not outright say that you go in RemoteConnect to Configuration, Physical I/O, Local, select the module and then select the DIO point and change the type. The Type says Digital Input and is greyed out, not selectable.
I can change the Analog Inputs Type just fine from here.
This is all offline I do not currently have the SCADAPack to connect to.

The channel direction is set when adding the object association:
To change the direction of an existing association, clear the association and then add the association with a different direction.

Thanks Andrew. I used the automatically associate when adding the module and that does not ask you to set which they are going to be. It just assumes Input.

Andrew is correct in his response, but I'd just like to add some clarifications for others who might read this thread. The 6606 module was new to me, and I was caught off-guard when trying to replicate Andrew's solution. Then I realized I was trying to edit DI1, not DIO1 !! The 6606 module has 16 dedicated DI and 8 dedicated DO points, plus the eight configurable DIO.
When you add the 6606 module to the Local Physical I/O you'll be asked if you want to "Manually connect existing objects..." or "Automatically create and connect new objects..." If you select "Automatically create..." the DIO objects will be created as Digital Inputs. You'd have to delete then re-create them to change them to DO's if that's what you wanted. So instead, you'll likely want to select "Manually create..." instead.
You'd then scroll down to DIO1 and double-click to edit it. You can then select either an Input or Output direction, and at the same time create a new object to associate to the point.
And as always, don't forget to set the new module's address to 1 or higher, on both the module itself and in RemoteConnect.
