Why Power Quality Down to the Branch Circuit and its Importance - HDPM6000

Hello Exchange!

 

Customers are becoming smarter and are becoming more and more data hungry.  Here are 3 important reasons why Power Quality down to the branch circuit sets us apart from the competition. 

 

  1. Equipment Operations & Maintenance improvement

  • PQ at the branch level can indicate what piece of equipment may be starting to malfunction Thus, allowing the customer to identify harmonics in the rack servers down to the circuit level.

   2. Asset Management

  • Voltage and current waveforms can be viewed at the PDU inputs and outputs; at the RPP inputs, and at each of the branch circuit breaker outputs.
  • PQ will help identify increased harmonics down to the circuit level to help detect a potential failure immediately.
  • Application Example; Data center facilities have the capability to instantly capture a real-time fingerprint of the entire power flow, helping to quickly analyze potential power quality issues, and determine the root cause of events. This also helps them to have a macro view of the entire power flow, with waveform captures that are time-stamped to all events.

   3. Specification Business

  • Today specification business growing, and customers are asking for more granular data for root cause analysis reporting.  PQ down to the circuit level is an important value proposition for the HDPM6000 and sets us apart from the competition!
