Reserving IP on Microsoft DHCP Server for PM8000
We have a Microsoft DHCP server on which we want to reserve an IP for a PM8000 device. We can reserve IP's by MAC address and have done so for the specific PM8000 device, however the PM8000 does not seem to serve it's MAC address to the DHCP when connecting so the reservation is not used.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Is it possible to force the PM8000 to serve its MAC to the DHCP server when connecting (it seems to currently be serving its UUID which we cannot use to reserve).
When you say the meter s not severing its MAC address, do you have packet captures with Wireshark or other programs to show what the meter is sending to the DHCP server? To confirm you have configures the meter to use DHCP and that there are no other DHCP servers on the network that could reply to the meter?
