Can I use it for update of the PM5000 series power meter?

Hi @Tomohiro-Okada I would suggest checking the PM5000 meter manual (specific to the model) and following the instructions based on the firmware version of the meter you have. We have verified the upgrade methods mentioned in the manuals based on the firmware versions.

No, ION Setup is not the tool to upgrade the PM5000 meters and therefore the device updater cannot be used.

In my experience, if firmware file is .fw you need to use DLF3000 software.

The upgrade method for the PM5560 depends on the current FW version and the target FW version. Please find the list below, extracted from the user guide. Note that the FW upgrade tool is included in the same ZIP file as the FW package.

• If the meter’s FW is earlier than version V1.01.00, download V1.01.00 and refer to FA237920 for a walkthrough on upgrading using DLF-3000. Once the meter is running FW V1.01.00 (or newer), you can upgrade to FW V2.3.0 using the FTP method, and then follow the information in the User Guide to upgrade to higher versions.

If you have any other PM5500 variant, please follow the instructions in the User Guide, as the FW version number varies depending on the variant.
