Hi All
I'm a installer of grid connected photovoltaic system. Recently I am encountering a Power/ Energy reading issue on PM5110 power meter (METSEPM5110).
It is a 220V single phase grid connected system. The power meter is connected between the grid side of inverter and the grid supply point. In normal condition, even in typical 3phase system, the power meter can measure both delivery kWh/kW (load consumption ) and receive kWh/kW (power export to grid). However, I tested in 2 set of PM5110, and both power meter have issue measuring the receive kWh/kW. We find that no matter the photovoltaic system is consuming or exporting power, all the measurement are counted toward the delivery kWh (load consumption) and positive active power (+kW). I have followed the instruction manual for correct wiring and CT installation. I even swap the S1 and S2 wiring connection of CT to see if negative power (-kW) can be measured. However, the measurement still show as +kW. Then I also checked the phase angle difference between V1 and i1 (Maint > Diag > PhAng), I find that during power exporting to the grid from the inverter the current is 180 degree out of phase with the voltage. That means the power shall be negative but somehow the measurement of the power meter is still showing +kW. Does anyone encounter similar issue with PM5110? I would be appreciate if anyone could share some experience. Thank you
Power Meter configuration:
1. 1PH2WLN
2. No VT connect (direct connect)
3. CT ratio 30:5
4. CT connect to T1
5. Rotation ABC
Thank you
Adrian

Hi @Adrianlo,
Could you please let us know the firmware version of the meters? We recommend upgrading them to the latest version, v2.2.4, as it includes some fixes that may be beneficial for you.
Best regards,
JD

Hi @Jesus_Diaz
I checked my PM5110 O.S version is V2.1.3. I will update the firmware to see if there is still any issue on it.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Adrian
