The PM8240 4pcs at one of pumping station, when we connect Power Meter via Ethernet LAN cable, the screen of PM8240 is showed blank screen. but when we disconnect Ethernet LAN the screen back to normal use.
We think this problem it maybe come from Ethernet router. So, we checked the ethernet connection other station but the connection of other station is like with this station and it didn’t have this issue.
Note: We tried to reset the meter but it still has issues.

Hello @Samart_Ploypradab ,
Strongly recommend you look at putting some filtering at the switch level where meter connected.
If you want to troubleshoot with technical support likely they will, if not already, ask for a packet capture of the traffic going to and from the meter. This would need a computer with packet capture software like WireShark running and a switch configured such that the traffic on the port connected to the meter will also be sent to a second port where computer attached, sometimes referred to a port mirror or port forwarding.

Charles

Hello @Samart_Ploypradab
I cannot see the video so I cannot speak to anything specific. If you connect directly from laptop to meter does the meter behave in the same way? What version of firmware on the meter? If not the latest does upgrading the meter to the latest help?
The PM8000 has mechanisms to protect the metering functionality if the meter sees too much network traffic. I would not expect this traffic to reset a meter but something to look into. Is the network switch configured to only send packets to meter if broadcast or specifically addressed to meter?
If you want further troubleshooting recommend working with your local technical support.

Charles

Hello @Charles_Murison
Thank you for your reply. We have contact with local support already.
The P8000 can show a display (no issues) after being directly connected to a laptop.
Meter information
1. The S/N is ME-2009A976-02
2. Firmware version : 003 000 000
Best regards

Hello @Samart_Ploypradab ,
From the first Wireshark alone I can say that the switch is not configured well. There is way more network traffic that does not apply to the meter being recorded. Really, really recommend configuring the switch to limit traffic to just the PM8000 (and any meters downstream is Ethernet is daisy chained).
Please delete the Wireshark files from you post. I doubt customer would like anybody on the internet having such details on their system.

Charles

Thank you for your reply. I will let them re-configure the Ethernet switch.
Note: I've already deleted all the log files and videos.
