Hi guys,
Regarding the PM8000 Alarm LED, the user manual (page 149) mentions the various states which can occur. The problem our customers have is that the alarm LED is always ON even if all alarms were acknowledged, creating the impression of something being wrong - after all, it is a red LED! One option I thought would work was to reset all the alarms but this doesn't work as the meter reboots itself so it's generating another alarm and the whole reset is useless!
So, is it by any chance possible to have the option to program the functioning (with Designer or ION Setup) of the alarm LED (and Alarm icon) to be OFF if the alarms are acknowledged?
Thank you for your help.
cheers,
zoltan

I have tried it but no success - what version of ION Setup are you using?

The Alarm LED will flash if the device detects any unacknowledged alarms but will still stay solid on if there are still active alarms. The only way to NOT have the alarm LED blink is to either completely disable the alarm (this can be done via the front panel, web page and/or ION Setup/Designer).or adjust the alarm priority to Info Only or None (which can only be done using ION Setup/Designer).

Hi Robert,
The question is if the LED can be turned off if there is no alarm or all alarms acknowledged instead of being solid ON.
Thank you for your help.
