Hello @sesa427078_brid

The Modbus unit ID is fixed as 255 and it cannot be changed since the PM5340 is standalone Modbus TCP device. The default BACnet device ID will be the last 3 digit of PM5340 meter serial number and it cab be changed by the user if required.

Regards,

Ramasamy N

Hello @Ramasamy_N ,

Do you know if possible to change the modbus device address for modbus TCP on PM5340 meters?

@sesa427078_brid , the BACNET and modbus protocols are completely separate and do not share any information. It may be possible for a device to be configured with same ID numbers in both protocols but this would be 2 settings, device ID in Modbus and Device ID in BACNET.

Regards,

Charles

Hello @Ramasamy_N

"The Modbus unit ID is fixed as 255 and it can be changed ..."

I have not found a way to change this, maybe you have a typo? you mean it cannot be changed?

Hello @diego.pedraza

Sorry, it was typo error. The Modbus unit ID can not be changed in PM5340 meter, since it is standalone TCP device.

The meter which supports gateway feature can change the unit ID.

Regards,

Ramasamy N

That makes sense its 255 since our IFE modules that talk to the breakers also use 255 as the default Modbus address and cannot be changed either
