Hi All,
Does anyone have the information about the minimum polling interval for PM8000?
We have some special applications that need to poll PM8000 every 0.1 s. We found that PM8000 has occasionally communication delays or loss if do fast polling.
Wondering if we have an exact time range for this capability. Thanks

Hello @Stuart_Cheng ,
There is no specified minimum polling because communications on PM8000 are a lower priority task. If the meter becomes too busy, communications are one of the first things to get paused. What determines busy will be a system by system, configuration by configuration difference. Therefore no possible to give a number for minimum polling period.
Regards,
Charles

Hello @Stuart_Cheng ,
The Diagnostic module can show you the static CPU loading, however the CPU loading is dynamic. Meter with PQ events doing waveform recording is different loading that steady state. The network to the meter can also affect CPU loading, even if packets not addressed to meter take time for meter to process. Recommend firewalls with tight rules to limit traffic.

Charles
