Hello,
I have a excel spreadsheet that processes data from datarecorders from a Data Collection XML extraction from IONSetup. I noticed that this extraction has an option to include waveform data, but I do not know how to treat the string that comes with the XML extraction. Is there a way to convert the string into a point series to recreate the waveform? Or to convert into COMTRADE?
I tried to configure ETL to extract data from XML file but with no success.

The XML string for waveforms is a base64 binary encoding of the raw binary waveform ION object which PME would of just placed inside the DB table (it is stored in the exact same manner in the SQL db). To actually decode the waveform, you would need to have access to the ION protocol document which requires a NDA in place.

Hello @henrique_lopes ,
What is the intended purpose behind this? The Data Collection XML extraction from ION Setup was designed to be used with ION Enterprise/Struxureware Power Monitoring and has since dropped support.
Perhaps you could use https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA203569/ to get the waveform data.
Regards,
Charles

In some cases I would like to insert data into PME database from the xml file directly. In a specific case that i am facing, I have only Data Collection file and cant reproduce the stps in FAQ article because I can't acesses meter in same conditions that the waveform was saved (already erased mass memory, change template etc)

Hello @henrique_lopes
Would not be able to set something up as an ongoing bases. Perhaps if you contact your technical support and provide them with the .xml file they may be willing to help convert the data to an array of numbers you could use in excel to plot. I do not think this would be sustainable for anything long term but could possibly help with the near term getting data out of the xml file.
Sadly would not be able to import this data into PME database.
Regards,
Charles
