Hello SE experts,
The ION8650 meter supports a maximum of eight simultaneous Ethernet connections, however, I have dynamic programming site that more than 8 sub meters need to be connected to the modbus master meter.
Any solution to address this issue?
Thanks
Leo

The ION8650 can support up to 10 Modbus Master TCP connections (which are completely separate from the 8 incoming connection restriction).
So if you have 8 separate IP addresses, this is supported presently. If you need more, I'd recommend daisy chaining some of the devices via RS-485 and gateway a few together.
But if you are implying that there are *eight* Modbus Master which want to access the ION8650, then the only recourse would be to likely use some type of Modbus gateway (like ComX or Link150 or HEP ION meter) and connect the ION8650 serially. The Modbus gateway will allow multiple masters to connect and alternate the requests sent to the ION8650.
