ION experts,
Does anyone know offhand what algorithm the setpoint module uses to calculate its learned limits? That is, what is the output value--peak during the learning period, 110% of the peak, 2σ over, etc.? This doesn't seem to be covered in the ION Reference, but I may be looking for the wrong topic, or maybe there's a separate white paper floating around.
I appreciate any pointers you can give me. Thanks!

hello Rob,
One question I suspect will get asked is why do you want to know this info. The answer may help with what information is provided.

Charles,
I'm putting together a short training class on meter logging and alarming, and I've found no information on how setpoint learning works. I can't advise a customer on whether a feature is useful in their situation if I don't understand it myself.
While I would like to know this myself, really I want it documented in the ION Reference so the operation is available to everyone.

good question.... i have similar concerns that it can possibly learn "bad" habits, then not alarm at nominal limits.
or does it just allow 'learning' of tighter tolerances?
