Dear experts,
I have a costumer who wants to communicate his ION7330 through a ION7400 to a PME, its ION7330 has an ethernet port that is being used to report to a SCADA, acording to the manual the ION7330 supports a single Ethernet connection at a time. That's why we are trying through a gateway.
But I can not connect with the ION7330
ION7330
ION7400
What should I do ?

Does the ION7330 have a Modem installed (RJ-11 on the side of the unit). If so, the Com1 RS-485 can only be used as an outgoing ModemGate port (allowing any communication via incoming modem calls to also talk to downstream devices) and can not be used to communicate to the device itself from the RS-485 side. The Com2 port is also reserved for outgoing Ethergate operation if the meter is installed with Ethernet which you've indicated is being used by SCADA.
Unfortunately this only leaves the front optical port as the only means to communicate to the device if you can't use the modem to dial into the 7330 without disconnecting SCADA.
Another limited alternative would be to use the ION7400 to Modbus Master via TCP the ION7330 which would allow both SCADA and PME to connect to the ION7400 (since it supports multiple simultaneous connection and not just one like the 7330) but this limits the type of data retrieved to a limited set of real-time data.
If the unit does NOT have a modem port, then you should be able to communicate to the 7330 by using ION Setup, adding a gateway site using the ION7400 IP address and IP Port 7801, then adding an ION 7330 device to that site with a unit ID of 10. Keep in mind that again only 1 software can connect to the Ethergate port so if ION Setup is connected, PME will not be able to at the same time.

Hello @JuanMQT ,
I moved this post to the hardware forum. The settings and wiring look correct. Could try turning off the RS485 bias but I would not hold my breath that will fix the issue. Do you see activity lights on the ION7330 when you try to read? What software are you using to try connect with ION7330?
Regards,
Charles

Are you trying to connect via ION Setup or PME? Is there any additional diagnostic information you are seeing (connection to ION7400 is ok, but serial timeouts to 7330?)
