Dear Gents,
What is the best way to configure PM8000 to send an email in case of an Alarm.
Taking into consideration that i am using PME 8.1

Hi Sameeh,
In the PM8000 User Guide under Alarms and alerts there is an overview on the steps you need to take to send an email directly from the PM8000 alerting a user regarding an alarm.
Creating alerts from an ION power meter like the PM8000 is an advanced feature that requires familiarity with ION architecture
and your power system and communications network.
To create an alert, you must configure the Alert module using a configuration tool like Designer in PME or the advanced settings
in ION Setup.
You must also configure your device’s communications as needed to send the alerts, such as configuring your meter’s SMTP settings
and connecting it via Ethernet to an SMTP mail server in order to send an alert by email.
See the ION meter alerts technical note (70072-0125-02), available from www.schneiderelectric.com, for detailed information on creating and configuring alerts.
Also, see the ION Reference, available from www.schneider-electric.com, for detailed information about the Alert module and its operation.

Hello all,
Has anyone on the forum completed this tag yet?
I am also studying this section, but it has not been done yet.
I am reading the Alert module in the ION reference, but I still cannot configure it.
Hope everyone help.
Thank you very much.

Hello Truong Doan,
I have set this up on numerous meters, from ION 7650 to PM8000 and ION9000. In all cases the setup has been the same
setup smtp server in Ethernet communication module, setup alert module. Can you monitor the traffic from the meter? Could the message be sent from the meter but SMTP server rejects it for some reason? Some SMTP servers will reject messages if to/from address is not in the domain.
