First, you will need to connect to the PM8K using ION Setup to change the security settings as allowing web page programming is Disabled by default.

After connecting to the device, use the Setup Assistant to go to Security, load whichever security you wish to use and make sure the "Allow Web Server programming" checkbox is checked (as well as the Active Web Server).

Complete the security wizard and once the meter has been programmed, open up a web browser and simply type in the IP address assigned to the PM8K.

Once you've logged in, click on the "Setup" tab and then "Metering".

This should show you the controls to program most basic metering setup.  Edit the CT Primary setting, click on Apply and confirm the changes to have them set.

Although you could of just as easily programmed everything using the ION Setup Assistant...

If you are using Basic Security and haven't changed the front panel password, you can enter "8000" as the user and the front panel password of "0" (zero), otherwise you'll need to provide whatever front panel password you have programmed.

If you have enabled Advanced Security, then you are required to enter the logon of whatever user has Full Config rights (ex. User1 if you've defined it as such), and that user's assigned password.

Hi Robert,

What would be a pop-up meter display message if "Allow Front Panel Programming" is not selected and I'm trying to change CT ratio?

For, example I have ION7650 meter which immediately returns Write Error message when I change CT ratio and press Program button.

Best Regards,

Bojan

Usually when you don't "Allow Front Panel Programming", you would be locked out of being allowed to even attempt to edit the value (and in some ION meters, you won't even be able to view the existing setting).

It sounds like your meter has Hardware Locking enabled (and the jumper is *NOT* in the Unlocked Position).  You could try to change a non-revenue setting (like a comm setting) to see if that works (or you could view the Security Setup Assistant view to see if the Hardware Lock is Enabled).
