Can PM8240/ ION9000 serve the data to 2 different system?

Hi All,

I've received an enquiry from the client about whether 1 Power Meter (PM8000/ ION9000) can serve the data into 2 different system platforms (e.g. BMS & 3rd Party Platform). Appreciated if anyone can answer me!

Best regards,

Stephen

Hello @StephenWong ,

Need more info:

  • how many protocols (ION, Modbus, IEC61850) ?
  • what kind of data ?

e.g. no problem if you have 2x modbus clients communicating with the PM through Modbus TCP.

Regards,

Hello @StephenWong ,

In general yes but as some would say, devil is in the details. As Romain says, protocols do matter. Meter can support a different number of connections per protocol and in total. Meter can support multiple protocols at the same time.

Regards,

Charles

Hi  @Charles_Murison & @Romain_Polette,

Thanks for your updates! As I'm planning to use Modbus TCP as the major communication protocol to trasfer the data like kWh, V & A, your input do help me a lot! Thanks!

Best regards,

Stephen
