Hello guys, I am thinking of using ION7400 to measure the time of a fault. Have you used it like this and is it possible? For example, is it possible to record time, current, and voltage?

Hi @Hoang_Phu
ION meters as well as ION7400 has the Sag/Swell Module monitors voltage inputs for disturbances, which are defined as one or more of the inputs detecting a value above a high limit (swells) or below a low limit (sags or interruptions).
If the related parameter in the Sag/Swell module, such as Voltage or Current, is enabled, when the incident occurs, all necessary parameters, including exceeded values, the time of the incident, and the incident duration, will be logged.

Hello @Hoang_Phu,
As a co-worker likes to say, "Devil is in the details". What kind or kind of fault, what kind of information are you looking for. Sag/swell is just one module on ION meter. There are Disturbance analyzer modules and transient modules that also detect events. For recording data there are options to record information about sag/swell magnitudes and durations or trigger waveform captures. There is even the possibility to record burst data to collect specific data at 1/2 cycle intervals for a pre defined amount of time before and after the trigger.
How you collect and plan to use the data may also affect options to you. If you have Schneider Software like Power monitoring Expert (PME) data in collected in databases. ION Setup can be used to collect data but is manual steps and can be time consuming to process the data. Some information can be viewed in meter's web pages, or communicated through real-time protocols like modbus. Limited options to get onboard logged data if not using ION based software.

Charles
