There is an order option for NMI certification for the ION 8800s. My question is:
If we request that option, is there anything done to the meter physically or digitally beyond just applying the NMI sticker? For example, is the firmware changed or is there any hardware changes to achieve the NMI certification. Thanks for your help!

Hello Dan,
I have been able to confirm that the AA339 customization is just the front label. The firmware and template remain default.
Regards,
Charles

What exactly is the "order option for NMI certification for the ION 8800s"?
All the ION8800 order sheets I found do not show a specific order option for NMI certification, but instead list "NMI certification" as a general feature of the product in a list with some other standards.
The official "Certificate of Approval NMI 14/2/56" for the ION8800 doesn't mention a specific order option and the model of the meter shown in the pictures is a standard model number...
My guess is that if there is a special order option (perhaps only available to Australian customers?) is that it would have a special label and perhaps a slightly modified energy accuracy verification profile.

Here is the order option: M8800C2E0B5E0E0A-AA339. The AA339 is apparently what ensures an NMI sticker is applied to the meter. Here is what it looks like in case that helps:

Hi - any answer on that option number I provided? Is that something you see also or is that something that the SE AUS team would have created on their own?
