Schneider Electric, Remote Operations is proud to announce the release of EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert 2021, the newest version of our successful SCADA Host software.

Bringing increased efficiency in remote asset management, Geo SCADA Expert 2021 is a release that delivers a range of features and updates for new and existing users.

All users upgrading to this release will require a new license file available from customer support, and if upgrading WebX to Virtual ViewX you will also need Virtual ViewX licenses. These are required for both server and client upgrades. See the notes available here for further information.

New Product Features

Devices and Protocols

• SCADAPack x70 Upload – import device and point configuration from x70 devices and Remote Connect
• Support Latest x70 and Realflo – latest x70 features and gas and fluids metering features
• OPC-UA Client Driver – Get data from UA sources
• IEC 61850 Driver – Communicate with IEDs (Available from the February 2022 monthly release)

Redundancy During Upgrade – save/sync database to old format until fully committed

Alarm Features

• Alarm Suppression extension – choose by condition or by database value, with release timeout
• Alarm Persistence extension – extend persistence on advanced drivers
• Alarm Filtering extension – allow scripting of alarm banner filters
• Retries on IP devices – reduce alarms on poor connections

Other

• Updated database explorer
• Virtual ViewX two factor authentication
