Available Software Releases and Updates:

We release Software Updates for supported releases of Geo SCADA Expert, covering Geo SCADA 2025 and Geo SCADA 2023 versions.

Updates are a combination of our Service Pack and Hotfix releases, rolled up into a single Update for each version, inclusive of recent bug fixes and any new minor enhancements, and undergo the latest Windows Patch testing. Each Update is a full installation just like the Initial Release - not a patch - meaning you can upgrade straight to the latest Update from a previous version (don't forget to read the upgrade notes, and if you are spanning several major versions, check the intervening ones too). You can use any Update to start a brand-new installation.

Software Downloads - Geo SCADA Expert 

Find below the current versions that are in support and available for immediate download. 

An upgrade to a newer licensed Geo SCADA / ClearSCADA major version will typically require you to update both your client and server license(s). Please review the Updating Your Geo SCADA / ClearSCADA License page for details. Without a license Geo SCADA will run in demonstration mode.

The Releases - Known Issues page details any issues which you may need to be aware of for specific versions in the Known Issues column below. This page also contains notes about security updates. There are also details on how to resolve any conflicts between .Net libraries used for Email and Crystal Reports.

Demonstration Modes

Please note that Geo SCADA Expert will operate in Demonstration mode until a license is purchased and installed.

Main/Standby operation is not supported until licensed.

 

Mode 1 - 1000 points and 2 hours

The Demonstration mode provides the same functionality as a fully licensed version except the Server only runs for 2 hours at a time, then automatically shuts down. There is a limit of 1000 active points. The server must be manually restarted to continue operation, but saved configuration will not be lost.

Mode 2 - 100 points indefinitely

From Geo SCADA 2023 August 2024 release, there is an alternative demonstration mode available at installation time. When chosen the server is limited to 100 active points and will run indefinitely. 

Switching Between Modes

Switching between the two demo modes after installation is done by changing the value of the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\DB\LicenceDemoIndefinite between False and True, then restart the server.

License Update Request

Customers wishing to upgrade their version of Geo SCADA Expert will require an updated license key from the factory. It is recommended that the appropriate license keys are obtained prior to installing a new version. Customers with an active Support Agreement can request an update to their current license via the Update Request Form.
