Do we know if these new gateways will support ION Pass Through for ION Protocol?
Link copied. Please paste this link to share this article on your social media post.
Hi, the Panel Server will only support the modbus map of the ION devices.
FYI - we have added a FAQ page in the "Panel Server catalogue, list of supported devices..." excel file.

Hello Grant,
Thanks for your interest, for the moment we only have this "external" presentation that we are ready to share with EcoXperts, we will be able to share more with you shortly. Thanks for you for your patience!

Looks good, however one question, all models look like the have WiFi/Bluetooth, what is our option for a gateway where the client will not accept wireless technologies on their site ?
Link copied. Please paste this link to share this article on your social media post.
Hi Rich, good question, and I know that this is a common requirement for customers such as datacenters.
In the Panel Server you will have the option to disable all wireless communications (wifi, bluetooth, wireless metering connection), as well as ports or protocols not in used.

Madleen, Hi
Thanks for that, that's exactly the market we are dealing with, unfortunately i don't think disabling it will will suffice for the DC clients, for instance we have to order the special Micrologic X with the the wireless communications factory disabled, they just will not allow anything with wireless communications capabilities on the site, disabled or not.
The EGX150 is a great product and works well, we must have used in excess of 1000 on one site alone, I really think there needs to be a basic version with no wireless.
Cheers

Hello @Anonymous user ,
The MTZ Trip Unit Micrologic Xi has a specific hardware to disable any wireless communication.
For the new generation of Panel Server : I do not know if any specific hardware will be designed for the moment (it seems not planed for 2021).

Romain, Hi
Correct, we use the Xi device for several clients, therefore there is no chance they will accept a gateway device with wireless capabilities based on this, in fact we have already had this confirmed by a client who has seen the panel server.

@Anonymous user ,
In fact it will depend on the customer.
I have seen some datacenters that are using PowerTag Energy sensors and Smartlink or PowerTag Link Gateways integrated in PDUs or Tap Off to monitor Power / Energy their assets.
So requirements concerning Wireless are not the same for all datacenters.
Regards.

Romain
Of course, i understand that and i can only speak for the DC clients we work with, which are one of the largest CoLo's in the UK and one of the largest global CoLo's, neither will have wireless on site, we may be able to educate them but i doubt it, as i say one has seen the panel server and already stated that it will not be accepted.
It's not an issue as there is plenty of gateways on the market that we can use for these clients, we would rather keep everything Schneider but if that's not possible then we have to use another gateway.
Cheers

Hi Rich and Romain,
I join your dicussion😊
@ Rich: To convince customer, you can explain them that we have several datacenter based on PowerTag system (Bankia, Ixcelerate, Khazna...). 14000 PowerTags in Khazna. Thanks to its small footprint (no communication wiring/ mounted direcly on the circuit breaker without impact on din rail) It is really an efficient solution to monitor a huge number of feeders.
@ All: because the solution is currently based on PowerTag Link without possibility to connect an external antenna, we stop to promote the installation in busway and in Canalis Tap-off. However some references of Panel server will offer the possibility to connect an external antenna and it will probably an opportunity to validate and restart this type of setup!

Dear,
why the internal document cannot be accessible and the leaflet is empty ?
Link copied. Please paste this link to share this article on your social media post.
Hello Arsyad,
Thanks for pointing this out, I have corrected the link to the leaflet and you should now be able to access it: https://schneider-electric.box.com/s/rgccw9qmlc1q0vqibxkjyljo1a7cycmt
At the moment the documents that are marked as "internal" are only accessible to schneider teams, we will soon open them to Ecoxperts once they are finalized.
Thanks for your interest.

Hello @Madleen_Laclef ,
Would it be possible to update this table : https://schneider-electric.box.com/s/p9nfozwj2efgdfcskj4q6r0dv0yyr690
It is becoming completely fuzzy !

Hi @Madleen_Laclef ,
With new launch new expectation and challenges come.
Curious customer always want to see the capability of the device so, is there any available demo web page which can be use to demonstrate Universal Panel Server like other gateway have
Com'X510

NO Panel Support does not support ION protocol.
Panel server support Modbus TCP/IP protocol.
Is is also indicated in roadMap that BacNet will be added but it is for future version and not available today

EcoStruxure Panel Server
Will the PAS devices support the Power Tag Link Displays as a replacement for the original Power Tag Link Gateways?
This is a critical requirement we are to use the PAS instead of the Power Tag Link Gateways.

Please provide details of tested levels of stability for connections to devices for logging. E.g is it equivalent to the ComXs - slower as devices are added. It would be good to have similar information to the attached images.

Hi Madleen,
Would you elaborate the following FAQ:"
Panel Server does not directly connect to Power Advisor, Panel Server connects to PME which provides data to Power Advisor. |
"
What exactly "connects to PME" means?
Does it include LogInserter functionality, or just Real-Time data?
Best regards,
Bojan

Looks like if specific serially connected ION meters have newer firmware ION protocol can be read by PME/ION setup if protocol is set to modbus RTU. @Charles_Murison provided this link in another post

Hello Samart,
There is no native RS232 Connectivity on Panel Server .
The solution is to use the native RS485 connectivity of PAS600 and to add an external third party RS485<->RS232 bidirectional converter.
I cannot advise especially a model/reference because we have not test this archi.
Best regards

Hi @Samart_Ploypradab ,
Unlike the Link150 => Panel Server cannot manage RS232 communication.

1. Will SFTP publishing be enabled in PAS800 Panel Servers? (previously I thought SFTP was a feature of PAS800)
2. Can instructions on setting up HTTPS file transfer publishing from one or more PAS800 servers to a PME server be provided?
3. Can instructions on copying PAS800 server logged csv data from PME server to PME server ION database be provided? (i.e. ETL tool configuration for the PAS800 csv files to backfill to PME database where data gaps exist)
Link copied. Please paste this link to share this article on your social media post.
Hi @swil ,
1. You mentioned PAS800 twice, I guess you wanted to ask about PAS600. The answer is: SFTP publishing is planned for both of them but with a difference:
- as an Energy Server, PAS800 will allow you to log 3-years worth of data in its internal memory. You'll be able to publish this data and after that it will still remain inside the gateway to be viewed via emendded web pages.
- PAS600 has a 1-month buffer of memory used for sending data for cloud applications (this is to protect cloud publication from connection issues). It will be possible to use SFTP publication for this data, but once published it will get flushed. Also, PAS600 will not allow you to view this historical data via web pages.
Please note that SFTP publishing is not available yet, it is planned for v1.5 firmware release.
2. At this point HTTPS is not planned for file transfer between PME and PAS.
3. As of today (v1.3.2) there is no such guide available, as the feature required for such application is not available yet (SFTP publication, planned for v1.5). But you are correct, ETL is the tool for that, one would need to set up an ETL job to take data from the CSV and put it into ION_Data.

Thank you for the reply
this is the link for IoT HUB Overview

and Solution architecture
I want to know if the PAS600 can work in such solutions and how ?

Hello,
I got the confirmation that today only Azure IoT support is limited to the schneider electric own Azure IoT environment called EcoStruxure Technology Platform (ETP).
However non SE third party Azure IoT environment supprort is in the roadmap.

Dear @Guillaume_Evrard
Can you explain more please ?
Azure IoT Hub is a Microsoft Product ; does it work for PAS600 ?

Hello,
Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Technology Platform is relying on Azure IoT for the IoT part. PAS600 by enabling cloud services can connect to EcoStruxure Technology Platform, but today only our Azure IoT environment is supported.
