Scheduling Device Discoveries for all Devices
DCE v8.0.0.149 and v 8.1.0.263
I've spent a lot of time looking but can't find how to edit discovery settings for all devices our install is monitoring. I can see how to do them individually, but not how to change them all at once.
We're monitoring about 3800 UPS's and I'd really rather not have to do them one at a time.
Anyone have the steps I need to perform to do it?
Regards,
Tom

Hello,
If the Saved Discoveries tab is not present in the Monitoring perspective of the DCE Desktop Client, go to Window > Device > Click on Saved Discoveries. This will open the Saved Discoveries tab. Select the discovery you want to edit and it will open a window. You can then click Next on this window until you get to the Discovery Scheduling option.
Hope this helps.

Just to confirm, you're trying to change the snmp communication settings (community strings) that were used when the device was initially discovered? If so, thats under device-->snmp device communication settings--> device scan settings. Then select one or more devices and edit the community strings or snmpv3 settings.
You would only need to edit the saved discoveries if you wanted to discover new devices, not existing

What I want to do is set Discovery scheduling for all devices at once.
Right now I don't have scheduling set.
