Hi Dolêncio,

You should not be opening these cables. Doing so will void any warranties on the cable or any devices to which you connect the cable. We also can not assist with pin-outs. If there is a more specific issue you're having, please let us know and maybe we can assist.

Hi Dolêncio,

I guess my point is that this info should not matter. I can look to see if I can find one when I'm back in the office (or anyone else monitoring this post can) but how will this help you? If you're having an issue that needs troubleshooting this info likely won't help you.

i have two cable doing the same job, there are connected as contact dry. but there are different (the cable), and one of them sometimes use to loose its config. on the appliance.

and i had to config it again. that why i wanted to know the physical difference between the cable, because i ma suspecting that one of the cable is the wrong one of cause the one that uses to have problem is the one.

Hi Dolêncio,

As I mentioned, I don't have access to these cables at the moment but what I would first ask is are they both the same color on the device side? Black/green, black/red?

You asked about what color they should be at the RJ45, are you seeing that yours are different colors there?

When you say it changes it's config, what exactly changes? Does your configuration change or does the cable change from reporting as a dry contact to something else? If something else, what?

How often does it change?

How many cables connected totally? To the device itself? To a sensor pod?

What device?

If you swap the cables, does the issue follow the cable or the port?

Basically, if the troubleshooting finds that the cable itself is faulty, you'll have to contact tech support and get an RMA.

Steve

Understood ... I just wanted to verify it wasn't a 250 as there is a slightly different issue but still a connection issue soon to be resolved on that device / firmware.

There are no known issues with the 570 where this happens. There are no known dry contact cable issues.

I'm going to have someone closer to your region work with you and potentially replace the sensor. If it is mis-wired, we need to know.

Thanks, Steve

John Thompson, since you're more regional to this, can you please look into it?
