Are there different macros for the inlet water temperature of a RDU, when it goes into alert?

Michael,
If you are referring to short message email alert macros from StruxureWare Data Center Expert, you can use any of the following:

Hi Cory,
I was looking to be able to report on the Inlet Water Temperature from the RDU when the temperature goes out of range. I tried ${SENSORVAL} but it returns a blank value
Thank you

Michael, It seems that you may be looking to create a threshold within Data Center Expert for the temperature on that unit. Start by right clicking on the RDU within the device view tab (monitoring perspective) and select View Device Sensors. As long as the sensor that you want to create a a threshold on is within this screen, you can create a custom threshold and associate it to a notification policy for alerts. To create a custom threshold: 1) Right click on the unit and select: Create Thresholds > Temperature. 2) Select the correct threshold type. Next. 3) Check the box for the sensors(s) you would like to create the threshold for. Next. 4) Set the Name of the threshold and the value you would like it to be. Next. 5) Choose the notification policy that you would like to associate the threshold to. Regards, Cory
