I have a customer that is on Server 2019 and Geo SCADA 2020 December 2021 Update
and Virtual ViewX manager version 2.6.0.24
Sometimes they would get an error when logging in.
"Application Load Failed: Login Failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer."
Not everyone is having the problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. User1 can connect from one PC but not another. But User 2 CAN connect from a PC that won’t work for User1.
My customer found that the issue seems to be caused be by Windows Update “2022-06 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2019 for x64-based Systems (KB5014692)”
That was the only change preceding the problems. Rolling back the update fixes the issues. It only is affecting the Virtual ViewX servers. The ViewX login on the Primary and Backup servers seem to be ok with the update applied (so far).

Hi Johnny,
we are making good progress with the resolution. While we can't be sure about the release which will resolve it, it could be the one in November.
Our Beta release of Geo SCADA 2022 does have a fix for the issue, and also resolves compatibility with Windows Server 2022. If you wish to join the Beta programme and test this, please follow the directions at this posting:
(Note that there is a known issue with the Beta Virtual ViewX which causes context menu problems, but this is not connected to the Operating System issues).

The issue has been resolved and will require an upgrade of the Virtual ViewX Server using the December 2022 Update of Geo SCADA 2021. Find it at:

Hello,
I want to ask, if there is any progress or solution (other than dont installing updates) regarding this problem?
Our customers are asking us about this topic, because keeping their systems not updated is not acceptable in long term.
I was waiting for new monthly version release, but in release notes I have not found any mentions or further notes.

Yes, the developers are making progress towards a solution. A beta is being trialled and has worked on 2022. There should be further news soon.
