Script Error Display
We have Schneider Automation Server with Andover Continumm B3810 series. In the webstation the web graphics is displaying an error message pop up "Script error in DocumentLoadEvent(Bind) ReferenceError:MutationEvent is not defined do you want to continue script." After we click "Ok" it still keeps popping up. Also the graphics is not loading value. For example, OAT reading XXX.
Could you please assist in resolving this display error in the PC.

Hi Team,
We had the same issue at a site here. The issue is something to do with Mutation Events inside of chrome and Microsoft Edge. We have found a solution in the browsers with "flags"
- Open Chrome or Edge
- Type in the search bar 'chrome://flags or Edge://flags'
- Search flags for 'Mutation'
- In the default drop down box select enable and relaunch the page
When the page reloads it should work again.
Link below is where I found the fix

@treesa21 this is a known issue in EBO. "MutationEvent is not defined" Javascript errors are displayed after Chromium based browsers (Chrome or Microsoft Edge) are updated to version 127.
As referenced in Mutation events will be removed from Chrome | Blog | Chrome for Developers, Google has deprecated these Mutation events and replaced them with a different function. EBO hotfixes are available for all currently supported EBO versions, your local EBO System Integrator or SE branch will have access to the hotfixes.

Hi @CraigEl,
We have Enterprise Server 3.3.1.2301 installed on our building.
We have problems with our local EBO System Integrator and does not want to apply hotfix.
Can you provide us the link to the hotfix so I can apply it?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Same issue I faced with latest EBO version 6.0.4.90
I know this issue was solved with hotfix, but it is very strange to pop-up again with latest release.
Only FireFox working fine, other browser (MS Edge & Chrome) shows same error "DocumentLoadEvent"

With the latest browser updates the hotfix is gone and it doesn't work anymore. Are there any other solutions?

Hi
We’ve encountered a recurring issue with our EBO solution after the latest Chromium update
When trying to load documents, we’re met with the following script error
Script error in DocumentLoadEvent (Bind_Value)
MutationEvent is not defined
Do you want to continue running this script?
It appears that MutationEvent
is no longer supported in the latest Chromium version, which breaks part of the functionality in EBO.
We’re currently looking for a solution or workaround.
If anyone has insights, has resolved this, or knows how to adjust the system or browser settings to avoid the issue, we would greatly appreciate your input.
Possible directions we’re considering:
-
Switching temporarily to another browser
-
Adjusting EBO configurations or scripts to avoid deprecated features
-
Any browser-specific settings or flags that might help?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

There is a Chrome/Edge Extension that will resolve this for the time being.

This extension worked for me, but i aint sure enough about it's security to apply it in a production service honestly. Anyway, let's wait new updates from Schneider i think that's all we got.

Could you please provide a new fix for this. Chrome and Edge have both updated and they have completely wiped out mutation flag enabling entirely.

I recently started using Firefox, but I’ve noticed it doesn’t always work as expected. There are often graphic glitches when displaying certain values. But the browser works fine in general, and it can be used until the bug is fixed so we can go back to using a Chromium browser.

Unfortunately it is not the solution, Schneider must provide support for browser updates. There are clients who, due to security policies, only operate with EDGE or CHROME.
We are waiting for the Schneider solution.

Today chromium based browsers are removing the possibility to re-enable mutationevent back.
Schneider was doing something to do not use this anymore?
