I need to change the static address assigned to this UPS. I cannot find any reference on how to do this in the Operation Manual; I have tried to do it on a pc running linux using the arp method described elsewhere in the forum without success. My (Netgear) managed switch does not allow me to associate its MAC with a new ip address. I also cannot find any method to do a factory reset which would give me a DHCP address which would be acceptable. Any help gratefully received please.

Depending upon the firmware installed on the system you have two choices. If the firmware is 4.1 or greater. At the LCD go to Configuration -> Menu Type -> select Advanced.
Then using the down arrow scroll to UPS IP Address Settings and press enter. From the UPS IP Address Setting menu you can change from DHCP to Manual and enter a static IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS.
If the UPS firmware is below 4.1 the IP Address must be changed on the router / firewall appliance.
Almost every consumer grade router allows DCHP and MAC Reservations (Static IP) assignment.
Please report back what you observe and the outcome. If the information helps resolve the issue please do mark this as solved. π
