Replace Battery LED Stays On After Replacing Battery on Back-Ups Pro 650

Last week my Back-ups Pro 650 starting alarming with the Replace Battery LED constantly ON. I ordered a replacement battery RBC4 from the APC Online Store.

The battery arrived today and after installing the new battery the Replace Battery LED is still ON and the alarm still sounds periodically.

I did a hot swap of the battery without turning the Back-ups Pro power switch OFF.

Does anyone know why the LED stays on?

The unit just needs to run a self-test to sense the new battery is present. Just power off and on the unit when you get a chance to initiate the test. If you have software installed you can usually run the test through there as well. If you don't run the test, it will automatically run it within the next 2 weeks by default.

Once you run it, that LED should clear up.
