I have an old but excellent APC Back UPS PRO 1000 . Last week I have seen Replace Battery light was on, so i got a new battery. In few hours it was charged but the 5 charge LED's flashing. What's happen?

i believe for this UPS it would indicate the runtime remaining is within less than two minutes of your low battery signaling time. that is generally what it means on other units. you may need to do a calibration to get this to recognize your new battery since it won't automatically.

i'd suggest that you plug in some non critical load, at least 30% and make sure it does not fluctuate. then i'd remove the UPS from AC power and let it run down until it turns off. then reconnect it to AC power (noting if the power really goes out, it won't get much runtime) and let it charge up for a day and see what you get. this will allow the UPS to discharge and recharge and re-calculate the available runtime.

was it flashing when the replace battery LED was on?

how can I do the calibration?

Tomorrow I try this procedure: is it an alternative to calibration?

was it flashing when the replace battery LED was on?

*No.
